Dr.-Ing. Vinay Sachidananda

As its founding member, Vinay has envisioned with exuberance to map senseable as prominent IoT company. Prior to senseable, Vinay additionally has co-founded IT company idatase and now acting as an active external advisory member. After studying and working in Bangalore, Trento, London and Darmstadt, Vinay earned his doctorate in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks. Born and raised in Mysore, he is zealous traveler, cheerful and music lover.





Martin Philipp

COO and Co-founder

is responsible for business development and our daily management. As part of the senseable founding team, Martin is passionate about building products with cutting edge technologies to change the way we live today. With his profound technical knowledge from his Computer Science studies Martin is also deep inside our technical development process.





Philipp Scholl

CTO and Co-founder

Co-Founder and technical lead of senseable UG. Phil is experienced in embedded systems and programming, mobile development, as well as machine learning via a Activity Recognition background. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg.





Andreas Straßheim

CFO and Co-founder

Andreas graduated in electrical engineering and business administration and gained experiences in Business Development in an industrial sized company. At senseable, Andreas is in charge of day-to-day business and supports our company to put ideas into action. Interested and fascinated by new technologies, Andreas also enjoys crafting and outdoor activities.

Dr.-Ing. Volker Willert

Advisory Board Member

Volker Willert received his Dipl.-Ing. degree in Electrical Engineering and InformationTechnologyand his Dr.-Ing. degree in Control Theory and Robotics with focus on Dynamical Computer Vision both from TU Darmstadt, Germany, in 2002 and 2006, respectively. From 2005 to 2009 he worked as a senior scientist at Honda Research Institute Europe GmbH working on driver assistance systems and robot vision for the humanoid ASIMO. From July 2009 to present he is with the chair of Control Methods and Robotics at TU Darmstadt, heads the research group Machine Vision and Mobile Robotics, and represents the head of the chair.

Prof. Dr. Kristof Van Laerhoven kristof1

Advisory Board Member

Kristof is a professor at University of Freiburg, Germany leading the Embedded Systems group. From 2010 to 2014, Kristof held the position of Emmy Noether Research Group (DFG) Leader of Embedded Sensing Systems at TU Darmstadt, Germany. In 2006, Kristof held the postdoc position with Bernt Schiele’s Multimodal Interactive Systems group. Kristof has recived his PhD in 2005 from University of Lancaster, UK at Hans Gellersen’s Embedded Interactive Systems group.
